Approvals and revisions

Give the customer one clear estimate and one clear decision.

Publish an estimate snapshot through a secure link. The customer can review it and approve or decline without creating an account.

Customer decision

A simple response to the estimate you sent.

The public estimate shows the published work, line items, totals, notes, and current status. ScopeHand records the customer’s first current decision with a server timestamp.

Scoped customer link

The estimate link grants access to one published estimate rather than a contractor dashboard or customer account.

Approve or decline

The customer can make one current decision. Repeated matching submissions are handled safely, while conflicting later actions are rejected.

Durable history

The contractor sees the current state and append-only events for creation, publishing, supersession, approval, or decline.

Change control

Revise explicitly instead of editing history.

When a sent estimate needs changes, ScopeHand creates a numbered draft revision and supersedes the prior version. The former customer access is revoked rather than left pointing at changed content.

Copy the sent snapshot

The new draft begins with the prior title, notes, work items, line items, quantities, prices, tax, and totals.

Publish the new revision

After contractor review, the revision receives its own customer access link.

Recover the latest link

If the current link is lost, the contractor can replace access to the latest sent revision while revoking earlier links.

Contractor-controlled estimating

Keep the request, estimate, and decision together.
