How ScopeHand works

From a customer request to a recorded estimate decision.

ScopeHand keeps the workflow narrow: collect the job details, review the scope, set your own price, publish the estimate, and record the customer’s response.

Five-step workflow

One connected path with contractor control at every step.

1. Collect the request

Share a structured intake link. The customer submits contact information, a service address, a description, and supported job photos without creating an account.

2. Review what was supplied

See the original request and privately authorized images. Optional AI assistance can separate supported facts from inferences and suggest questions, but the contractor reviews it.

3. Build the estimate

Group the work, add material, labor, or other line items, set quantities and unit prices, choose taxable items, and review tax and totals.

4. Publish a snapshot

Publishing freezes the customer-facing content and creates a scoped estimate link. Later changes use an explicit numbered revision.

5. Record the decision

The customer approves or declines through the secure link. ScopeHand records the decision and time in the estimate status history.

Questions about the workflow

Does ScopeHand price the job automatically?
No. The contractor enters and reviews every quantity, unit price, tax setting, and final total. AI assistance does not determine price.
Does the customer need a ScopeHand account?
No. Customers use scoped links to submit a request and to view and respond to a published estimate.
Can a sent estimate be changed?
A sent estimate is preserved. Changes use an explicit numbered revision, which supersedes the prior estimate and receives new customer access.
Does ScopeHand include invoicing or payments?
No. The current workflow ends after a published estimate is approved or declined.
